Switch of. Step aboard. Your next adventure starts here!

Ready for a short escape? Always wanted to experience life aboard a traditional sailing ship, but not quite ready for a longer voyage? If you’re looking for adventure, hands-on sailing, and great company, this is the perfect introduction to life at sea.
Your journey begins in the vibrant city of Rotterdam, where you’ll step aboard the Eendracht. Our professional crew will be there to welcome you, with fresh coffee and tea. Once everyone has arrived, the captain will give a warm welcome and a comprehensive safety briefing.
Then it’s time to cast off. We sail down the Nieuwe Waterweg towards the North Sea, and after approximately two and a half hours, we’ll reach open water. That’s when it’s all hands on deck as we hoist the sails together and your sailing adventure truly begins.

Life on board
Throughout the voyage, you’ll take part in our “four hours on, eight hours off” watch system, allowing the ship to sail day and night.
Each watch brings a variety of tasks, including:
Assisting with sail handling — hoisting, dousing and trimming the sails. Helping during tacks and other sailing manoeuvres. Taking a turn at the helm.
Assisting with navigation. Helping in the galley and keeping the ship shipshape.
No previous sailing experience is required. Our experienced crew will gladly teach you everything you need to know about sailing a traditional tall ship.
When you’re off watch, there’s plenty of time to relax on deck, enjoy the fresh sea air, take in the ever-changing views, or simply unwind with your fellow crew members.
In short, it’s the perfect voyage for a long weekend away.

Where are we sailing?
During this long weekend, we aim to make landfall in at least one port, giving you the opportunity to stretch your legs and explore ashore.
Our destination? That is entirely up to the wind.
