On this unique leg of the Tall Ships Races 2026, you will sail aboard one of the largest Dutch tall ships! Departing from the vibrant city of Aarhus, Denmark, we head toward historic Harlingen in the Netherlands. This special nine-day youth voyage is part of the international Tall Ships adventure, an event where young people from around the world come together to experience life at sea as it was in the past: under sail, powered by the wind, and working together as one crew.
Prepare for a journey full of action, teamwork, new friendships, and unforgettable experiences at sea. No prior experience is required, just bring your curiosity and a spirit of adventure!
What to Expect?
- Spectacular Views: On this leg, you will sail through the Kattegat, possibly via the Kiel Canal, and then across the North Sea toward the Netherlands. Watch Denmark fade behind you, pass the German coastline, and experience the vast open waters of the North Sea. It’s a unique opportunity to witness stunning seascapes, sunsets, and perhaps even spot dolphins.
- Watch System: Life on board revolves around teamwork. You will join a watch team operating on a four-hours-on, eight-hours-off schedule. Together, you will steer the ship, maintain the sails, and learn navigation. Our professional crew is always on hand to guide you—no prior experience is required.
- Relaxation and Enjoyment: Beyond active sailing, there is plenty of time to relax. Get to know your fellow crew members, enjoy the tranquility of the sea, gaze at the stars, or listen to sailors’ stories over a warm cup of tea in the salon.
