Limericks about the Atlantic Crossing

About the white watch:
There once was a boat out to sea,
Crossing the Atlantic so free.
Old men on their watch,
All night they did watch.
The “white” one will manage, you’ll see!

The bosun ate one brownie too many:
A helmswoman can eat lots of sweets,
Yesterday proved her feats.
She took one too many,
And turned green and uncanny,
The railing will remember her treats!

The engineer’s birthday:
An HWTK on a sailing ship,
Was so touched he let out a blip.
Everyone sang,
But the real bang,
Was the Bahco tool they let slip!

A mishap in the galley:
A cook on the wavy seas,
Had sliced the potatoes with ease.
But they turned into mush,
When we went with a push,
Off a big wave, taking a tease!

A tear in the topsail:
A topsail is tricky to steer,
It must be handled with care.
The sail got destroyed,
Now hope is employed,
That the bosun repairs it fair.

A dwarf whale swims with us for a day:
A whale joined our crew for a spin,
As if it had something to begin:
“You swim far too slow,
With your fins down below.
I’ve got some complaints about your fin!”

Quartermaster meditates in the sun:
The boss of the white watch crew,
Sometimes is nowhere in view.
He finds a nice spot,
On the foredeck a lot,
And meditates there, it’s true.

Bosun with his own bakery makes bread and cookies:
A supplier from the northern land,
Gave up his business as planned.
He became a baker,
His treats a heartbreaker,
Kneading by hand, oh so grand!

Captain lost his USB stick:
A captain searched for his drive,
No one dared to lie or contrive.
His music was gone,
But still he pressed on,
Looking high and low to survive.

A flying fish on board the Eendracht:
There once was a flying fish, Fernando,
Swimming and flying like a pro, oh!
He flew really well,
To his death he fell,
There once was a flying fish, Fernando.
